What are the types of sentences in English?

In English, sentences are classified into four main types based on their purpose or function. Each type expresses a different kind of thought or emotion. Let’s look at them in detail 👇


🟢 1. Declarative Sentences

Purpose: To make a statement or express an idea.
Punctuation: Ends with a period (.)

Examples:

🔴 4. Exclamatory Sentences

These sentences show excitement, surprise, joy, anger, or shock.
